How to save Tumblr photos and GIFs

Download photos and animated GIF files from a Tumblr post individually.

Choose a photo post

Copy the link of a single Tumblr post containing photos or GIFs. Paste it into Revbu and select Download. Multiple files appear as separate cards, with up to 20 files listed per post.

Check the file type

The card shows the available file type, such as PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF. A GIF download preserves its animation; use Download GIF rather than taking a screenshot. Preview behavior depends on your browser and the file itself.

Image dimensions and quality

The tool tries to select a larger available image variant provided by Tumblr. It does not upscale or recompress images. The original upload may not be publicly available, so quality is limited to the version the source provides.

Permission to save

Access does not grant permission to republish. Download your own content or files you have permission to save. Revbu is independent of Tumblr.
