Which Tumblr links are supported?

Understand the difference between blog, post and short share addresses.

Two post address formats

https://blog.tumblr.com/post/123456789 and https://www.tumblr.com/blog/123456789 are supported. Replace blog with the actual username and the number with the actual post ID. A trailing title or share parameter does not change the post ID.

Blog and tag addresses

Blog home pages, tag lists and search results are not single posts. Revbu does not download a whole blog archive. Open the post you want to save and copy that post’s full address.

Open a short address first

Short tmblr.co share links are not supported directly. Open the short link in your browser and copy the full post address displayed by Tumblr. Check that it points to the post you expected.

Custom domains and access restrictions

For a blog using a custom domain, use its Tumblr post address. Login-required, deleted and private posts are not opened by this tool. Even a correct address may have media unavailable in the public API.
